Gwen Clephane
We are very sad to announce the untimely death of our Chairperson Gwen Clephane on 4th February 2023 following a short illness. Gwen led our History Society through a difficult time post-Covid and did a brilliant job keeping the Society running well.
Her sons James and William have informed us that her funeral will be held at midday on 22nd February at Holy Trinity Church, Long Melford with a wake afterwards at the Old School. They have invited our members as Sudbury History Society “was such a source of happiness for her”.
