15/8/24 Thursday 15th August at 7.15pm in the Drill Hall, Gainborough Street, Sudbury (just beyond Gainsborough’s House).
We will have a short, guided tour of this 19th C historic building led by the officer-in-charge, followed by a talk on the history of the building and the influence it has had on the people of the town over the course of two world wars, by a Durham Uni student who has made it his final thesis. This is quite a new step for us, and we do hope that many of you will come along – lots of parking on Market Hill at that time of day.

11/9/24     The Real Basil Brown, Sarah DoIg. Illness prevented Sarah giving this talk. Instead, Anne Grimshaw told us about Discoveries in a Suffolk Graveyard.

9/10/24     Journal of a Suffolk Woodman, Pip Wright. Pip is unable to give us this talk at the present time. Instead, we will hear about The History of the old West Suffolk Hospital.

13/11/24   Harvest and Horsemen’s Memories

11/12/24   Christmas at the Granary, with a quiz, a talk, and seasonal refreshments.
