On Friday 16th September there is a coach trip to Blickling Hall, north of Norwich, leaving Sudbury Bus Station at 9am. This is a change of plan, because Belvoir Castle cannot accommodate our visit on that date.
The outing is open to everyone.
The cost of transport is £20, payable in advance to our treasurer, Ann Spiller (01787 372636).
The entrance fee is £14, to be paid on the coach. National Trust members are admitted free with their membership cards.
There is plenty to see and do in the house and extensive gardens and parkland.
“Discover a complete Norfolk estate with something for everyone.
“Nobody ever forgets their first sight of Blickling. The breath-taking Jacobean mansion and ancient yew hedges sit at the heart of a magnificent garden and historic park in the beautiful Bure meadows.
“Surrounding the house, the formal garden is the result of three centuries of inspired planting, and the gently undulating historic parkland is great for exploring on foot or by bike. Grab a map of our way-marked walks from visitor reception and enjoy discovering intriguing landmarks, stunning views and wildlife.”
